Wow...It has been almost 18 months since I have posted anything. I did not even remember how to log on to the site, so that tells me I have been away for far too long.

You know what else it must mean...a new season of Dancing With The Stars has started. Of course, two seasons have passed since my last blog post ... but don't take that as a negative endorsement for the show. In fact, my name is Lisa Mushett and I approve this message. :)  (I will be so happy when the political season is over)

This promises to be the best season yet for Dancing With the Stars as it is the all-star edition. Many fan favorites have been invited back to compete once again, and then there are some others that I am not sure why they were invited back ... yes Bristol Palin and Kirstie Alley, I am talking about you!

Andrew also felt they should have invited back fan-favorite dancers as well (he really misses Edyta, Lacey and Julianne - honestly, I am surprised I even get to watch on the big TV since Edyta has been gone for over six seasons now.) Thankfully my close personal friend Maks is back (although I better get my fill this year since he is leaving the show ... no shirts and leather pants better be high on the costume list this year). His brother is certainly not that bad either, but I digress. Let's get started with Opening Night.

The first dance was Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson. They definitely got the night off to a great start and showed that the level of competition was going to be amazing. In season's past, their dance would have garnered 9s and 10s, but last night 6.5s (yes, they went to a half point system, which is awkward but necessary since everyone is so good) and 7s were all they could manage. Len showed that he is going to be even more crotchty and critical this year (Maks better look out) as he went after Joey right out of the gate. And then what was up with Carrie Ann going after Emmy-winning Tom Bergeron for cutting her off. Trust me, people would much rather hear Tom over her and I am glad he went right back at her. After she broke off her engagement, she has turned into a little diva. I do not like her.

Next was Shawn Johnson. They obviously want her win since they put her with Derek. She is really cute and her dance was amazing. She got an 8, which was the highest score of the night until the last dance.

Helio, Helio, Helio! I love Helio Castraneves. He was one of my favorite dancers from the past, but I think he is going to have a short stay this season. He and Chelsie, who is also another favorite, were cute, but in comparison to the two before them and then Sabrina Bryan after him ... he will not be in the winner's circle at the end of this race.

Next was Sabrina Bryan who will win this season. She was far and away the best dancer out there and she was dancing against the best. Plus, I think she is going to ride her "most shocking elimination in the history of the program" (obviously they are hoping that people are forgetting that she had a new album come out and was going to start touring the week she was eliminated ... very convenient). She was amazing and I am thrilled that Louis has a good partner finally. He always gets loser partners so it is nice to see him with someone so AWESOME.

Then there was Bristol Palin ... why she was invited back is beyond me. They obviously are still banking on the Sarah Palin star power with election season upon us, but they would have been better off getting Sarah out there. I will say Bristol did look much better after losing a bunch of weight and getting plastic surgery, and she did improve, but she still was so stiff. She should be the first or second to go, but I think she will get a reprieve because of Sarah. Sarah was there last night so they must be a little nervous that Bristol's stay is going to be short lived. Her partner, Mark Ballas, also is very annoying to me. He always overdances and it is very distracting.

Another one that should be the first to go is Pamela Anderson. She is a horrible dancer, but I am sure there are many men out there who are just like Andrew and rushing to their phone to vote for her each week. She just looks old now, but with the promise of wearing next to nothing each week, she will stick around for a few shows I believe. Her partner had the line of the night though when he said, "After all these years being made fun of for being a male dancer, it has finally paid off." I did laugh pretty hard at that.

Other highlights of the evening included Gilles Marini. He is so hot and what a great dancer. He should finish second behind Sabrina. Emmitt was entertaining, but I did not think he was the best of the night and deserved scores that high. He also should not have recycled an outfit from when he was on the show previously and what was Cheryl wearing? It was not a good look for her at all.

Apolo and Karina were OK. Reagan loved the flashing jewelry so that should tell you something. Drew Lachey was fine. Melissa Rycroft and Tony had the most entertaining dance of the night. I really liked that one and they should have scored higher. Kelly Monaco and Val have great chemistry, but she is not that good. And Kirstie...

Well, I am not sure how Kirstie says she is a size 6. She is not. And she looks so horrible when they are practicing. I hate to see her and Maks on the floor because I keep flashing back to when he dropped her last year (which was one of the funniest moments in show history). I am not sure how people are going to react to Maks this year after the allegations in Hope Solo's book.

Last night was an awesome start and it should be a great year. I now know where I will be every Monday and Tuesday night. Thank goodness Dance Moms is now over. It would have been a tough decision between the two.

_________________________________________________________________________

So I wrote the top part before the elimination last night, but it appears that I was right on the money with Bristol and Pam being in the bottom two along with Drew Lachey. I am shocked that Pam went home last night, but then again, she was awful.

On a side note, I loved that new Pitbull song. He is so cool, and even though I cannot look at Justin Bieber, I do love his music. And Brooke...wow that dress was short. I think she forgot the pants to it. :)

Until next week (maybe)...we will see how long I keep this up.

Are You Kidding Me?

So the cast of Dancing With The Stars - Season 12 is slowly leaking out and by all indications it is going to free up my Monday and Tuesday nights because it is horrible. I am so disappointed. Here is a brief recap of the 'rumored" pairings.

Kirstie Alley and Maks - Really ... you couldn't give him someone better than her? I hope she has lost some weight because you will not even be able to see him. I am bitter about this one.

Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke - I love WWE, but this does not get me excited at all. Poor Cheryl ... at least she (hopefully) will not be hooking up with him and getting her heart broken like with Ochocinco.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas - Since Disney Channel is on in my house 24-7, I actually know who she is. It doesn't matter that she is on my least favorite Disney Channel show (Jonas LA). She is pretty and I am guessing she is going to be pretty talented since they hooked her up with Mark Ballas. I like this couple.

Lil Romeo and Chelsie Hightower - A washed up rapper with her? She is one of my favorite dancers. I think he might surprise ... or he might be another Master P ... but I saw him play hoops the other night in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and he was good or at least better than Justin Bieber - but everyone was that night. Still, I am not excited about him either.

Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel - Again, not excited. She is annoying. It is amazing to me that she has her own show. She will fill the stripper role so I am sure all the men will be excited to see her since she will not wear many clothes - a.k.a - Pamela Anderson and Holly Madison. I wonder if Hef gets a cut of all the former Playmates that have appeared on the show?

Wendy Williams and Tony Dolovani - Once again are they trying to punish Tony? First he has to put up with Kate Gosselin and now he has to deal with Wendy Williams. She is perhaps the most annoying person, besides Kate Gosselin, in the world. She is always good for a clip or two on The Soup so I am sure Joel McHale is jumping for joy right now. Why is it every year, we have to have the tall, buxom and awkward African American woman? Maybe she will surprise like Niecy Nash. I just hope she keeps her mouth shut.

Christine O'Donnell/unknown partner (probably no one wants to be her partner) - Tea partier ... got to get that crowd back on board after the Bristol Palin fiasco last year. Are you kidding me?

Let's just say, they better rally with the last people yet to be leaked. This is looking like the worst cast of all time. I cannot believe I am about to say this, but I am almost hoping that Brett Favre is going to be on the show. I need something, because this D-list of celebrities is pitiful as of now.

I'm Back...Must Be Time For Dancing With The Stars!

OK ... so I have to apologize for my year-long sabbatical (really has it been that long). Who knew having two kids (yes...I had another daughter, Ryann, who is now 9 months old since I wrote last), working full time, playing tennis, being on my condo association board and trying to sell jewelry would take up so much time. Just looking at this ridiculous list of only my activities, I get tired. Add Reagan's dance and swimming and her Kindergarten tours and Andrew's hockey, basketball, volunteering and everything else and I am just thankful that I can still set Ryann down on the floor and she will not go too far ... I hope she never crawls (so she is a little behind being 9 months and not crawling ...hopefully she will wait until she is 2).

With that said ... I was reading an old post and realized that I really missed doing this. Maybe it was because Season 10 of Dancing With The Stars was so great (and yes Nicole won and Evan was second) or because Season 11 was so terrible and there was nothing to talk about. When Bristol Palin makes the finals and no Edyta for Andrew, it was pretty much a lost cause (although that did not prevent me from watching the finals on Andrew's Slingbox on my phone). Maybe this year, they can get Justin Bieber as a musical guest and I am all in ...I admit, I have Bieber Fever (I probably shouldn't admit that since he is 24 years younger than me).

Just reading the websites and seeing some of the rumored people for this season, I have mixed feelings. If Brett Favre is on Season 12, I think I will lose it. He has already ruined my local football team and now he will ruin my favorite show. I just need a Brett Favre Life Sabbatical ... probably like everyone other person in Minnesota right about now. I hope he is not on there. It is so out of character for him, but then again, he cannot be out of the spotlight for more than 5 minutes so what better way to get back in the spotlight, although spray tanning and wearing sequins is even lower than anything I thought Brett Favre would do.

Other names I have seen ...Lorenzo Lamas in the old, hot guy role; wrestler Chris Jericho, Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson (Andrew will like her), talk show host Wendy Williams (she is so annoying) and former Growing Pains kid Candace Cameron-Bure who will have big shoes to fill because her former Russian hockey-playing husband won season two of Battle of the Blades in Canada and was absolutely amazing.

Then in what could be worse than Brett Favre, I saw the other day that Todd Palin was going to hit the floor this season. Come on Sarah...give us all a break (I feel a Sarah Palin life sabbatical coming on as well). It was a travesty that Bristol was on for as long as she was last year, and I like Bristol ... except she could not dance. But since I am a marketing person, if I am casting for Dancing With The Stars, I am for sure getting Todd Palin on there because those Tea Party supporters are freaks and he could write his ticket to the finals. Of course Sarah would like it - where can you get better free publicity in your run for President even if you get booed in front of 22 million people on live TV like last year. Once again, the question arises who is the bigger media whore in that family? The list keeps growing and growing.

One interesting thing this season is that Derek Hough will not be on so that will level the playing field for everyone involved. I never have figured out why they always put the best professional dancer with the best celebrity dancer (is that part of Derek's contract), but hopefully that means more MAKS!

We will see when they make the selections next Monday night during the season finale of the Bachelor...do not even get me started on that show.

Until then...Gotta go, go, go, go, go,

Dancing With The Stars Season 10 - Night 1

I am not going to lie. I have been more excited about this season of Dancing with the Stars than any other season and opening night did not disappoint. I also knew that it was going to be a good season for my husband when he saw Erin Andrews in her little yellow dress and Edyta in her furry coat. The first thing he said was, "That is not staying on long." He was hooked, I was getting to watch it on the big television and everything was good.

Before I get to the contestants, I have to say that Brooke Burke was good. She is much better than Samantha (although I still had to be tortured by Samantha when watching Entertainment Tonight right before it). She seemed very natural and asked a lot of good questions. I was impressed and I think Andrew liked her dress (it accented the right parts on her). I also liked the new set and the interview room area. Reagan, who loves the show, commented about how it was a new room and that she liked the colors better than the old yellow and red set (how did she even remember that?). I did not like when they revealed the scores and had the judges marks on the side. We can see what they gave them since they are still holding up the paddles, but that is a minor thing.

First up was Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl. Tough spot to be in leading off the season, but he did well. He has potential and can definitely move his hips. I was disappointed because he was so calm and reserved last night, not the Chad Ochocinco that I love from the NFL who is a marketing machine, but hopefully that will come with time. They were good and the three 6s were good opening marks.

Next up was Shannen Doherty. Poor girl. She had hives because she was so nervous and was all swollen, but I commend her for getting out there not looking all that great. She struggled and I am afraid might be the first to go tonight. Mark Ballas couldn't even make her look that good.

Finally for Andrew, Maks and Erin Andrews hit the floor. She used to be on the dance team at the University of Florida before she went to work at ESPN. She was good for her first time out there. She has potential. She is like Natalie Coughlan was last year. Has the potential for gorgeous lines and is tall and flexible. I am not so sure about her sunshine dress from last night as Reagan called it, but Andrew liked it. I am also not so sure how this is going to add any credibility to her career as a sports reporter, let alone one that was just stalked by someone who put a camera in the peephole of her hotel room. I probably would have stayed low for a while, but she seemed to be having fun. I am sure Christine Brennan had a few choice comments before, during and after the show about her (and probably rightly so).

Buzz Aldrin was cute, but he looked 80 years old. I wish they would stop putting these older people in these kind of uncomfortable positions. Anyway, he was terrible and I couldn't bear to watch. He was counting the whole time and his partner had to tell him where to go. It was painful. He will never get voted off though because the first thing I saw on my Facebook account was that all my friends voted for him. Ugh.

Niecy Nash was much better than I thought she would be. She has a great personality and was a breath of fresh air. I hope she stays, although she is probably one the least known celebrities so I am not sure how long she will stay around.

Johnny Weir's rival Evan Lysacek was next (I love Johnny Weir and probably will refer to him a lot in this blog - you should watch his show Being Johnny Weir on Sundance Channel or In Demand Monday nights - it is a classic, must watch). Anyway...I also love Evan and he did not disappoint. He was the second best dancer last night and was really good. His skating training definitely came in handy as he had beautiful arms and extension all night. He will be one of the two finalists for sure. Hopefully Nastia will be there with him next week.

The Pussycat Doll girl (Nicole) was awesome and should win the whole thing. She was like Mya from last season - so far ahead of everyone else that it is not fair. She was just gorgeous and it also helps having the best partner and choreographer of the group as your other half. She will do well if people vote just on her dancing. She might not be as popular as the other stars, but she will go far.

Jake the Bachelor was OK. He annoys me. I think he is so hokey and he almost started crying last night which really bothered me. I know ABC is making him be that way to keep up with his Bachelor persona, but really...I am not sure how long he will last, especially if they keep showing Vienna. As Andrew said last night, he is a big star now and he should upgrade to Chelsea.

OK...Kate Gosselin was terrible. She looked so uncoordinated and she was frosty cold. She looked scared to death and was just awful. She really should be the first to go, but I am sure she has it in her contract that she has to stay for a certain number of shows. Her long hair is ugly as well. I really do not have a lot of positive things to say about her, so I think I will stop now.

Aidan and Edyta were not so good. Why do they always put Edyta with the loser partners? You would think they would want her around just so the male audience stays put. After she lost her coat (in the first 10 seconds) as Andrew predicted, her outfit was amazing. She is such a good dancer and she just gets the worst partners. He might be one of the early exits this season as well.

Then, what was possibly the talking point of the night - Pamela Anderson. The whole night she was acting like this sex kitten. I know...what did I expect, but really? Every time they showed her, she was acting like a diva from a porn movie (are porn stars really divas?). Then when she danced, she basically used her partner as a stripper pole and just danced around him (not that I would not have enjoyed being in her shoes...he is a nice addition to the show this year). She was much better than I thought she would be, but she was defintely Stripperella as Bruno described her. (Another weird thing...I do not understand how Bruno got so turned on by her, but I digress. I expected him to be more excited about Evan Lysacek.) And her hair...she was definitely a great way to end the show because people will be talking about her for a long time. Go to You Tube to see her dance if you have not already.

Opening night was really great. There is a lot of talent out there and lots of potential. It is hard to predict the order of finish this year. Len was really hard on the dancers for it being opening night, but I think he saw that they have a really talented pool this year. It is going to be an awesome season.

Gotta "go, go, go,"

p.s. - only 8 weeks to go until the arrival of the newest Dancing With The Stars fan. I am actually due the Thursday before the finale so let's hope I am not late. :)

Dancing With The Stars 2010

Finally...the Dancing With The Stars 2010 cast was announced, and I have to say, I am thrilled with who is participating minus Kate Gosselin. Is it just me or does anyone like her new long hair? I actually thought her short hair was really cute and it was her signature statement. Now...she is just like everyone else and does not standout at all...or maybe that can be attributed to overexposure to the nth degree - and for what - having a ton of kids? On the other hand...she needs to feed her family (OK Latrell Sprewell) and that deadbeat, loser ex-husband of hers will be of no help to any of them down the road so she might as well take advantage of her 15 seconds of fame...which keeps dragging itself out. OK...enough about her...let's get to the highlights of the season.

You have to start with Evan Lysacek and Ochocinco! Fresh off of winning the gold medal, Evan Lysacek is an awesome choice, although Johnny Weir would have been just as good if not better (if you have not seen Being Johnny Weir on the Sundance Channel, you have to check it out - he is one interesting character and has so much charisma). Evan supposedly has a work ethic like no one has seen before and he stirves to be the best in whatever he does - hence the gold medal this year even though Evgeni Plushenko is a way better skater. I am sure he has the dancing moves and will follow in line with Kristi Yamaguchi from years past. Let's be honest though ... the best thing about Evan is that he is hot and he is dating Nastia Liukin - who was Shawn Johnson's arch enemy in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Nastia comes across as being a royal #$^%*%, but I still love her. Nastia and nasty girl Vienna might make great friends as the show progresses this season. BTW...Evan will win.

Next up is Ochocinco. He is classic. Talk about a great marketing mind. This guy knows how to market himself in every way possible. His dynamic personality will probably carry him a ways this season. It also helps that he is partnered with Cheryl who is the best dancer left on the cast now that Julianne and Karina are gone (sorry Edyta). I cannot wait to see what he does every week. He will have people talking about his antics just like he does during the NFL season. Great choice and great PR move for the franchise known as Ochocinco or whatever the translation is in Chinese or Japanese since that is the next move for him (absolutely brilliant by the way)!

I also have to thank the show for signing Erin Andrews...not for me, but for Andrew. And I have it twice as nice this year since Edyta is back (although I think she will be gone early again). At least with Erin on the show...that should allow me to have the hi-def TV for a few weeks longer. I do have to say though...I am questioning this move from a professional standpoint for Erin. Here she was just photographed by some creepy stalker and she is really fighting for professional credibility at this point and not just being another pretty face and she signs up for this? I am sure the costumes (or lack thereof) will not help her professional credibility and Christine Brennan probably has her first four columns calling this into question written already. She is a good dancer I would guess as she was a cheerleader at Florida (Urban Meyer will be her number 1 fan and use it as a recruiting advantage in some way, shape or most likely form ... oh wait he is on leave...right?????). I am just glad she is on the show so Andrew does not take the TV away from me...oh and she is with Maks! Hot!

The other people on the show are OK. Here is a breakdown of them...

Derek and the Pussycat Doll girl - They will be really good. She will not wear many clothes. Michael Phelps is guaranteed to make an appearance since I think he was dating her or one of the other Dolls. They have a guaranteed musical guest during the season. And for some reason, people like Derek - he is the most annoying male dancer to me, but he is good.

Buzz Aldrin - He looks old. I cannot imagine he will be good, but good for him for getting out there.

Shannon Doherty - Hopefully she will do better than her ex-husband. She better be a good dancer because she has no personality so I think her stay will be short even though she is with Mark Ballas.

Niecy someone - She will not go far.

Kate Gosselin - So annoying (see above). I am sure she has it in her contract that she has to make it to the finals. Say what you want about her, she is a smart business woman and can be shrewd. She will be on a for a long time and I am sure those eight kids will be in the ballroom each week in their free and matching gowns and tuxedos. Whatever. I need to have eight kids at once and see how I can live off of my kids and everyone else.

Edyta and her partner - I do not watch All My Children. This guy looks hot. Maybe another Gilles Marini.

Bachelor Jake...I am guessing that people are so mad about him choosing Vienna that he will not last long. The bigger question is how many times will he cry during the season. I am going to say at least 3 times. He is good looking, but what a baby and he was so fake. I did not watch the Bachelor this season until the final episode, but to say that he was in love with 2 women in the morning and then cry like he did when he let Tenley go...and then be so sure with Vienna. He is good actor. He should have stopped being a pilot long ago. But he is no Melissa and lost his likeability factor in the final rose so his stay will be short and he can go back to his "adventureous life" with Vienna.

Finally, how did I forget Pamela Anderson? She will be another reason that Andrew will want to watch longer. I am sure she will be very popular amongst the male crowd since I am sure she will not be wearing much - or at least that is what Andrew is counting on. I do have to say her partner, who is new to the show, is quite good looking so I wouldn't mind seeing him stick around. As long as she doesn't have to talk, she will do well.

Speaking of hoping they never have to talk...who will replace Samantha (a one of us)? Is it Melissa? I guess we will see. Samantha was so beautiful and her dresses each week were amazing, but she was so stupid and annoying. I am so glad she will not be on this year. Good luck on your journalism career. It is hard to be a journalist when you have to talk. Hmmmmm.

So there it is...my Dancing With the Stars preview for 2010. I will try and be better in updating this season. At least I am interested this year which is more than I can say for last year. Between this and Celebrity Apprentice and now Being Johnny Weir, my TV schedule is pretty full.

Oh...Reagan is good and I am plugging along - only 10 weeks to go until our newest arrival makes her appearance. Actually right during the Dancing With The Stars finale is the due date now. Hopefully she will take that into consideration and adjust her arrival accordingly.

Christmas Photos

Here are some Christmas photos. We ended up staying home because the weather was too iffy in Wisconsin, although we got 12 inches as well and then some rain and ice. That did not deter us as we were still very busy ... we are hoping to go to Wisconsin this weekend to see great grandma.

After daddy had to work on Christmas Eve, we went to church (of course did not get there in time to get a seat and sat in the lobby...definitely one of my mom's greatest pet peeves - people who save rows of seats for mass, thus making the people who get there 45 minutes early not have anywhere to sit) and then to my friend Tina's house to spend Christmas Eve with our families. It was very nice.
Christmas morning was presents, presents and more presents. If I wanted it, I got it. Some highlights included my pink Snuggie, my Sleeping Beauty paint set, my Cupcake Baker and my Princess Tiara kit. We spent the rest of the weekend playing with all of my toys and games. I think mom was tired from playing all weekend.

I also had a fever and a cold on Christmas so it was probably good that we stayed home. Mom made a full turkey dinner that turned out pretty good (except for the dinner rolls - don't get the kind that have to rise and then forget to have them rise and then try to rush the process. It doesn't work so great.)

On Saturday, we went to the zoo as Grandpa Chris got us a family membership to the zoo. It is very cool as we can go to the zoo whenever we want. Then we played more games.

Sunday we went to Chuck E. Cheese and then to the mall. It was a fun time. I finally fell asleep about 7:15 last night. I was tired and so was mom.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas. Here are some photos of my big weekend.

Gotta "go, go, go,"
Love, Reagan

Christmas 2009

OK, OK...I know I have not been so good about updating this site (in fact, I think it has been since November 2 or so according to Andrew), but I figure that people can just see all the photos of Reagan on Facebook. If you are not my Facebook friend, then friend me so you can keep up to date on Reagan.

Here is the 2009 version of the Christmas letter, although I think that everyone should have received one in the mail by now. The biggest news is that Reagan is going to be a big sister come May. We are going to find out what we are having this time - the big date is January 7. Reagan says it can only be a sister, although she started to change her tune over the weekend. I think she is just excited that she is going to have a big brother or sister. Boy will that change once she figures out that she will not be the center of attention each and every moment.

December 2009

It is that time once again for me to sit down and reflect on all the events of 2009. I am now four, and pretty popular, so there is a lot to talk about, but first I hope everyone has a great holiday season and a blessed 2010!

Life is still all about me in the Mushett household, although that could be changing in 2010 (much to my chagrin)! I found out I am going to have a new sister (or brother, but since I do not want a brother I know it will be a sister) in May. I am excited as I have already named my “sister” Selena after my newest idol Selena Gomez from Disney Channel (my mom says that is better than Strawberry Shortcake, but I am not sure she is sold on Selena yet.). We are all very excited although we are not sure where my “sister” is going to sleep since we only have a two-bedroom house, but I am sure it will work it out. Being the older, more mature big sister, I will clean out my sock drawer for Selena to sleep in if I have to!

I turned 4 in November with a big birthday bash in San Antonio with my Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles and cousins. I am 40 inches tall and 32 pounds (one of these days I will fit into a booster seat – maybe when I am 10). I am a “big” girl now that I am four and actually mastered potty training (well almost) two weeks before my birthday. I am a big, big talker (I wonder where I get that from) and I am quite Type A (I wonder where I get that from). I live off of Cheerios, salad, tacos and peanut butter sandwiches and I was so lucky when the Easter Bunny brought me grapes, cherry tomatoes and carrots this year because he knows I do not like candy or sweets (whose kid is this anyways?).

I am still at the same daycare and doing my schoolwork everyday. I can read Fun with Dick and Jane all by myself! I have about 17 best friends and am starting to have a lot of play dates. I also love to play with mom and dad’s iphones and text their friends whenever they are not looking (so if you get a random text, it is probably from Reagan!).

I started dance class this fall – ballet and tap. I love to look at myself in the mirror in my beautiful dance outfits and cannot wait until I get to dance “on the stage” at my recital in June. I am also going against all my mom’s wishes and starting tennis lessons after the holidays. I might try ice skating again this year (it did not go so well last year) just to keep my dad happy, but we will see.

Perhaps the biggest event of the year was when I fell off my mom and dad’s bed and broke my arm in two spots. I had to wear an arm-length cast for six weeks in September and October, but thankfully it was bright pink so I did not mind. It even matched my Minnie Mouse Halloween costume. Actually, I was a real trooper and did not complain once (thank goodness for waterproof casts). My friends all signed it and I loved the attention.

Mommy and daddy are good. They are still with the USTA and Thomson Reuters, respectively. Andrew is still doing NBA and WNBA stats and worked the PGA Championships in August, while mommy is involved with a lot of tennis special events and decided to start selling Lia Sophia jewelry in March (shameless plug time…visit her website at liasophia.com/lisamushett so she can pay for my college education!). Mommy is still playing tennis and daddy hockey so they are busy. Corby (who is 5 ½) is doing fine (we’ll see how he is when Selena arrives in 5 months).

It was a busy year of travel for me once again. I went to Arizona for spring training, Spokane for two weeks with Grandma and Grandpa, Wisconsin to see my cousin Amy graduate, three Notre Dame football games as part of the Charlie Weis farewell tour (do not get my dad started on the state of Irish football), San Antonio and Austin for my birthday and Spokane again for Thanksgiving.

Unless I “forgot for something” (which I tell my mom all the time), that really has been my exciting year! I miss all of you. Here’s hoping that 2010 is the best one yet. If you are ever in Minnesota, please stop to see me! I love to have visitors and will need someone to pay attention to me once “Selena” gets out of mommy’s tummy. Until then…happy holidays!

Love, Reagan
(Andrew, Lisa, “Selena” and Corby too!)
